I have created several new courses over the last few years in both English and Interdisciplinary Studies, including an English Research Methods course. I have collaborated with several faculty from various disciplines to create the curriculum for a now-thriving Interdisciplinary Studies major, and I have similarly worked on overhauling the curricula for an English Literature major, English Pre-Law major, an English minor, and a technical writing certificate. Additionally, I served for three years on Central State University’s Senate Committee for the Assessment of Teaching and Learning, which I chaired for one year. We primarily worked on reviewing, providing feedback on, and assessing the learning outcomes for new courses across the university. I have also been responsible for revising courses and completing paperwork for them for transfer credit with the Ohio Department of Higher Education (TAG Courses and OT 36).
Courses created and developed through Central State University’s approval process and then added to the course catalog:
Introduction to Legal Studies
Literature and Law
Shakespeare and Popular Culture
Postcolonial Studies
English Research Methods
Professional Editing
Literary Publishing
